Bora is firmly rooted in the region's tradition, the small Croatian town of Podgradina, embraced by the warm currents of the Novigrad Sea on one side and whipped by the Bura wind from the Velebit mountain on the other.

The Benkovac-Stankovac vineyards, where our winery is located, are ideal for growing vines. The orientation and the altitude at which the vineyards are located create perfect soil for the best wine.
Bora wines are named after the Latin name for a strong, persistent, mossy, and cold local wind - Bura, but they are the best that the harsh climate and hard work can give. Our young winery is growing daily as a promise of the Žuža family to their ancestors that their winemaking will guide love, perseverance, and dedication to the land. With the help of the most modern viticultural and winemaking knowledge and technology, wines are created for those with the most refined taste.
Bora is a celebration and rhythm of life. We produce wines for people who celebrate every moment, dance, and see every moment as an opportunity for pleasure.
Playful yet precisely vinified, our wines highlight the best features of the climate and terroir of the Benkovac-Stankovac vineyard. Respecting the tradition, we planted traditional varieties in our vineyards: Maraština and Pošip, Svrdlovina and Plavina, but we also ventured into Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Black Grenache, and Syrah varieties. As a family, we believe in creating and exploring new flavors, which is how we approach our wines.
